A Bottle 250 Years in the Making

This Bourbon is the McBrayer family’s tribute to one of Kentucky’s founding distillers: W.H. McBrayer, otherwise known as “The Judge.” He was a descendant of pioneers who proudly fought in the American Revolution, explored the Kentucky wilderness, and called it home. As an entrepreneur, statesman and philanthropist who shaped Anderson County and put Kentucky Bourbon on the international map, McBrayer’s legacy reflects his Scottish roots-American spirit.” Our commemorative bottle celebrates America and those, like McBrayer, whose contributions are woven into the tapestry of our nation’s history. Crafted with locally sourced Kentucky corn, rye, and malted barley, with a low 105-barrel entry proof, and non-chill filtration, we’ve captured the full flavor and character of America’s Spirit- Kentucky Bourbon.

Mash Bill:
88.4% Bloody Butcher Corn
5.8% Heritage Rye
5.8% Malted Barley

Batch Details:
Release Date: June 5, 2026
Bottles: 1776
Proof: Barrel Strength – 105

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Stewed and cooked stone fruits, with plum and raisin predominant. Leather and light oak wood sit behind, with apple and pear notes in the background.
Palate: The fruit is more forward, with sweet cinnamon in the mid-palate. A hint of pastry — like a pie crust — lingers for just a moment as a peppery rye spice kicks in. Just as it threatens to overpower, the sweet fruit notes balance it back out.
Finish: Medium-long to long, delicate and elegant. The rye spice abates, leaving a broad cream soda feeling that lingers. An extremely well-balanced and complex bourbon that embraces the feel of gentlemanlike elegance.
